Social Media Marketing GPS #smgps is dedicated to the pioneers of social media marketing who understood that digital intimacy creates stronger customer relationships. They also realized that social media goes beyond marketing to impacting how business will be conducted.
As with any book there are many people to thank but the first must be the 40 guest interviewees who took a risk, as well as, time from their lives to add their tweet thoughts to this new genre - a business book written on Twitter. Without your spirit of adventure this book would not have been as rich or as special.
Several years ago Nettie Hartsock encouraged me to write a book about social media. Last summer Paul Chaney challenged me to write a social media marketing book. Who knew that book would turn into an exciting venture to use micro-blogging as the major content and distribution platform? Shel Israel's wise council and questions helped me structure the format.
