Conversations About Conversations

04/22/2007

People are talking.Age_of_conversation And Drew McLallan and Gavin Heaton are giving the world something to talk about --  I'm honored to join over 100 of the most innovative and caring bloggers, in our industry, who are contributing a chapter to an eBook project appropriately titled, The Age of Conversations.

This project is from the heart on three accounts. One - it will provide a treasure of information about social media from people who are passionate about this emerging industry. Two - it is dedicated in memory to my BBF CK's mom. Three - The monies will be donated to Variety, The Children's Charity.   Contributors

A funny little website called a blog just might turn out to be a business women's new best friend. - Blogs: A Business Women's New Best Friend

In the meantime, if you want to know more about the business aspects of blogs, you might enjoy the article I wrote,We_magazine_2 for WE Magazine For Women, an online publication from WECAI. I talk about how blogs can build trusted relationships leveraging the 3 Connecting Cs of New World Business Success: Collaboration, Communication, Cordiality.  Pages 15-16. Blogs: A Business Women's New Best Friend,

Thanks to Heidi Richards, founder of WECAI an amazing internet learning experience, for the opportunity.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; you kick ass!

The Conversation Age book is going to be amazing. I'm really excited... and totally freaked out. I have to get my act together...

Hey Toby!

Found your blog by path of the Conversation Age author list. Having looked through a number of your posts, I quite enjoyed them! I look forward to seeing what you write for the conversation age :)

Nathan - Appreciate your kind words. Floated about Giddlebits .. you're doing some nice work too. Wondered if any of your profs at UNCW were including social media, especially in marketing courses.

Thanks for having stopped by my blog :)

Heh, I wish my profs were, Toby. That would be fantastic and were it the case, I would still be a marketing major. They don't even have any sort of course (to my knowledge) that deals with WOMM. My passion for marketing supercedes those obstacles, though, and thus I continue to self teach.

Toby - looking forward to reading the entries from all other authors on this ebook! It ought to be awesome!

Great to know I'm in such good company... :-)

Toby:

I'm with Tim. Looking at the list of authors I'm feeling a bit of stage fright. Only a bit though. The best part will be to read what everyone else has written. I'm with me all the time.

The clock is ticking .. April 30th seemed like a long way off when I signed on. And only 1 page sounded like a piece of cake .. but after reading the list of authors, Valeria I do have stage fright(1), one Really Good Page will be the challenge.
