Friday Fun: Discover A NYC Play Writer

Friday Fun is Diva Marketing's virtual happy hour from cosmos to Jack to lemonade. A waiting for the weekend 'playground' time to be sophisticated-silly. Or sometimes just plain silly.

Never know where a blog conversation will take you or who you may meet in the real social media world. One of my first outside-the-biz-blog-world friends was Alex Geana. Alex Geana is a writer. Alex is living in NYC doing what artists do to make ends meet in order to make a dream come true.

Three_tablesTonight the curtain goes up on the first public performance of Alex Geana's play Three Tables. How I wish I could be in the audience to watch the magic as the house lights dim and the actors bring Alex's words to life. And a dream becomes a reality.

Three Tables:  A window on upper-crust NYC and those who spin in its orbit. The writer allows us to become eavesdroppers and voyeurs as Prue-dinner drinks are poured, daytime masks slip, and the characters gradually reveal themselves, less to one another than to their audience. The rhythms of conversation drift along on a succession of drinks, banter, gossip and occasional glimpses beneath the surface.

If you're in or around Manhattan tonight and want to experience theatre in the making and brag to your friends that you've discovered a fresh, new, talented writer -  Online tickets sold here!

Applause - Applause! Alex break a leg!

from The Astro Divas Paula Dare & Donna Page

The full moon on Sunday will be felt starting today, the temptation to over indulge in food and drink is strong.

There are five planets in the sign of Scorpio this week: issues around control, power and jealously may come to light. If you are a self professed control freak you may feel a little out of sorts.

Put all this Scorpio energy to good use, get to the bottom of an issue that has been bothering you, do research in your chosen field, start a hobby that you can be passionate, listen to your gut and have a conversation about deep and meaningful concerns that could heal an old wound.
