Impact of Social Media

06/10/2007

For your Sunday reading pleasure ...

In her iMedia Connection article, What Kills A Social Media Campaign, BL Ochman cuts to the chase in her analysis of how 7 major brands: Ford, Wal-Mart, Microsoft, Sony, Dell, Netflix and Lego are entering social media marketing.

If you're still not quite sure if consumer generated media impacts brand perception, as well as the bottom-line, just ask CompUSA.  Jackie Huba tells the story at Church of the Customer.

Now if I were Twittering I'd add - off to walk Max. ttly.

Toby: these are great resources and links, thank you. I particularly like the short stories by BL Ochman; they summarize nicely the information we have seen over the course of months.

Thanks for linking to my article Toby. Much appreciated.

It's really amazing how many campaigns are missing the mark.

Valeria - my pleasure. Both posts support - done right or wrong - more companies are trying to tap into social media and consumer generated branding.

BL - You have so many wonderful posts on whatsnextonline I could build Diva with your work!
