Friday Fun is Diva Marketing's virtual happy hour from cosmos to
Jack to lemonade. A waiting for the weekend 'playground' time to be
sophisticated-silly. Or sometimes just plain silly.
Friday Fun wraps up a week that began with a post, Social Media Networking, about how to make friends online and ends with the importance of Best Friends complements of Max, my Westie pup and his best friend Tab
the Cat.
Max and Tab romp and run and wrestle as seven year old Lindsay (Tag's person) tells their story. It's a feel good watch that I hope you enjoy and brings a smile to the start of a wonderful weekend.
This one is special for Max's fans .. especially Wayne Hurlburt's sweet mom in Canada, Alf Nucifora who insisted Max would be perfect for me, and Donna Lyons-Miller (GourmetStation) her husband Jeff and the Royals who take such good care of him when I'm On The Road.
Now the marketer comes out .. let's spin this with a little experiment. I don't know about you but I am really curious to understand how those little YouTube videos bubble up. Is it the number of views? The voting? I can't even pull this video up in a category search. I have not a clue how anyone found it.
Any help you can give to a viral or wom pass along to encourage people to view the videohttp://youtube.com/watch?v=WWT6y1K7y9A would be appreciated. Periodically I'll post updated stats. Let's make Max a featured YouTube Favorite!
Today Venus trines Saturn which is good for being objective and practical in business matters. This is a good week to take the opportunity to be alone and contemplate your business strategies. What are your goals? What is working and what isn’t working?
Enjoy your week. Take time out of your busy schedule to relax and smell the coffee.
Girlfriend, what do you get when you do your job well? Not your organization but you? A raise? A promotion? The employee of the month parking spot? The satisfaction of knowing you did your best and moved the brand forward? Good stuff all.
Had an interesting email volley with Tim Jackson, the Masiguy, that put a slightly different spin on social media marketing for me. Executing an advertising, research, public relations, sales or any other traditional marketing strategy brings success or not. I never thought about social media marketing in terms of the marketer getting
something back other than the "marketing" of the brand.
Sure as you do business vendors, customers and people you meet along the way can turn into friends too. However, the "social" in social media rings true. No other
strategy gives me back more than what I put it.

Sidebar: A meme
is a silly, fun game that serves a larger purpose in the virtual world.
Some call it an online chain letter but I think it has a higher
calling. It helps build community and give us an excuse to get to know
each other a bit better.
Five Reasons Why I Blog
1. I blog because I'm curious and learning is never ending. 2. I blog because my network and in turn, resources, are expanded within a global community and I never could have met the people I know know any other way. 3. I blog because it is good for my business and it's worth the investment in terms of positioning, reach and awareness. 4. I blog because it gives me an opportunity to stretch my skills and I would not have the discipline to write on a consistent basis if it were not for the commitment to communicate, connect and help others through the exchange of ideas and conversation while having fun with y'all. Thank you! 5. I blog because of the surprises that blogging brings and I might not have the opportunities that have come my way along with meeting new, wonderful, real friends.
Watch out folks. Hang on to your hats! Tomorrow 3/3/07 we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. You've all all heard the stories about people doing weird things on a Full Moon. A Lunar Eclipse can intensify emotions. The effects can last 3-5 days before and or after. Take care not to take out your weird feelings on family, friends and co-workers.
The Moon opposes Uranus and that could add an electrical charge to the emotions as well. Uranus is conjunct the Sun and Jupiter is aggravating this with a square to it and a square to the Moon. You could stay angry with the other person and say to hell with it or you could take a deep breath and decide forgiveness is a better route to take.
A little note off thebiz. Watch the news. The Jupiter square Uranus has a lot to do with the fight for the rights of freedom. This is not good for the political or religious scene. Leaders - especially the fanatics - could get agitated and make very poor decisions
The good news this coming week is that the planet of communication turns direct Wednesday 3/7/07. This has been a rough Mercury Retrograde for a lot of people. It started 2/13/07. Communications start to clear up. Important decisions you've been waiting to make or contracts you need to sign can be made. It occurs at 11:45 PM EST so I'd wait till Thursday.
