Are You Addicted to Blogging?

Ann Hadley, The Diva of MarketingProfs***, posted herBlog_cartoon Top 10 Signs You Might Be Addicted to Blogging. I relate to #s: 1, 4, 7, 8 and 10. 

And while we're being bloggy silly ... if you are addicted to blogging you may want to check -in at Bloggers Anonymous - or even if you're not. This is one blogger who, while he may be drinking the Kool-Aid, probably has splashed it with Tequila. A refreshing, fun read.

***In true bloggy transparency, I've been ask to join the group of prestigious bloggers, like my pal Tris Hussey and nope-don't-know-him-at-all Tom Peters, at MarketingProfs. Ann had me at "occasional" posting. Which I promise to do soon..soon..soon..before they take away my membership card.

Congratz on getting onboard with MarketingProfs (great site).

And yes, I'm addicted to blogging. I think it was worse about a month ago, I would check Feedburner stats and the Blogflux map thing every 10 minutes.

I wanted to write 50 posts a day, but forced myself to pace them out somewhat and not overwhelm things.

I checked "one last time" before dragging myself to bed to get a bit of sleep. And yes, I thought about blogging in my sleep too. *sigh*

I've since relaxed, and gotten to the task of improving my blog and not obsessing over it, which are two different things.

"YES" to 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 (BIG TIME), 5 and 2.

"NO" to 4 (still got my offline friends just very little time to talk to them because I am blogging so much and now I have a bunch of new blog friends who I speak to a lot more often), 3 (because I know there is no way in he** I can quit) and 1 (because I'm still too shy).

Well, I think I'm really addicted because I can't get out of my head how I could improve my blog and when I'm speaking with someone I would like to write an article if it was about a relevant matter ... but it's difficult to explain it to your friends or family : in France, tomarrow, the 2nd of Jun, is a day where each blogger can invite a no blogger to write articles on his blog : it's a way to see if the Blog addiction is 'contagieuse' ;))

Great post, didn't see this until now! I can relate, who doesn't spend time on lunch that could be spent on educating yourself on your job, blogging instead? The insurance world can wait, right?
